WOODEN BALL’S FLAWS
Date: undated
Looking at such a worn-down wooden ball, it should come as no surprise that rubber became the preferred bowling ball during the early 1900s. Rubber was much more durable than wood, and though they had weaknesses of their own, rubber balls were unlikely to crack and splinter after repeated use.
