WARTIME ALLEY
Date: 1944
Even in times of war, bowlers will find a way to bowl. American serviceman J.R. Tucker snapped this picture of a rudimentary bowling alley in Mons, Belgium, while deployed during World War II. Tucker was a long way from his home of Wichita Falls, Texas, but he knew a bowling alley when he saw one. It is unclear whether or not American servicemen erected or used this alley.
