TWO QUEENS FLOATING
Date: December 30, 1961
Susy Crawford, crowned the 1962 BPAA All-Star Queen, and Carol Hair, reigning as the Queen of the Orange Bowl, added elegance to the AMF float during the Orange Bowl Parade on December 30, 1961. This televised spectacle captivated millions of viewers on the ABC TV network right before a major football game and ahead of the $100,000 All-Star Tournament hosted at the Convention Hall in Miami Beach, Florida. Both queens held a shared distinction: overseeing thrilling sporting events that kept countless spectators enthralled and on the edge of their seats.
