TOURNAMENT TRAVELLING
Date: 1935
Teams like the one shown here travelled far and wide to participate in the 1935 American Bowling Conference Tournament in Syracuse, New York. Held at the National Guard Armory, contemporary newspapers noted that there were more than 2,600 team entries from across the U.S. and Canada, setting a new record. Diamond-studded medals and $1,000 cash were awarded to the tournament champions, Wolfe’s Tire.
