THUMBING THROUGH DICK WEBER MEMORABILIA
Date: 1960s
Bowling takes a toll on the player’s hand. Whether rolling strikes or gutter balls, the repetitive nature of the motion can lead to sore fingers and wrists. Dick Weber was a well-known sufferer of sore thumbs brought on by bowling, and he often utilized thumb protectors to minimize the pain. It is no surprise, then, that he put his famous name on a line of leather thumb protectors produced by Thumtector, Inc.
