THE OLYMPIC CENNTENIAL

Celebrating 100 years of the modern Olympics, the 1996 Summer Games in Atlanta, Georgia, earned praise from participating nations and committees. Qatar’s National Olympic organization celebrated the event with a commemorative plaque. As was the case at the 1992 Barcelona Summer Games, bowling was featured at the Atlanta Games Olympic Village in the form of Georgia Institute of Technology’s student union lanes. Perhaps Qatar’s 12 athletes represented at the game took some frames before competing.
