A BPA official presented Marion Ladewig with a trophy and $4,000 check after she locked up the 1963 World’s Invitational in Chicago. It was her fourth time winning the tournament over its seven years of existence. Ladewig also won the 1963 All-Star Bowling Championship, marking the second time she had won both major tournaments in the same year.
