KUCZYNSKI CASHES IN
At the 1969 BPAA All-Star Tournament in Hialeah, Florida, Betty Kuczynski secured a commendable third place in the women’s division, achieving a total pinfall of 8,093. Her impressive performance earned her a well-deserved cash prize of $1,500. Kuczynski’s bowling legacy extends far beyond this tournament. She was inducted into the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Hall of Fame in 1981, recognizing her outstanding contributions to the sport. In 1961, she became the inaugural recipient of the Alberta E. Crowe Star of Tomorrow award. Perhaps one of Kuczynski’s biggest triumphs came at the 1965 USBC Queens, where she claimed a significant victory that helped her earn the prestigious Bowling Writers Association of America (BWAA) Woman Bowler of the Year honors that season.
