HELEN MCMAHON ACCEPTS ON JUNIE’S BEHALF
Date: 1961
Helen McMahon, a valued member of AMF’s Staff of Champions, graciously accepted the prestigious First Annual BPAA All-Star Award of Merit on behalf of her husband, Junie McMahon, who, due to illness, was unable to attend the ceremony. J. Furco, representing BPAA, conducted the presentation during a special ceremony held amidst the BPAA All-Star tournament in San Bernardino, California. Junie McMahon, a distinguished member of Bowling’s Hall of Fame, left an indelible mark on the sport. He was a two-time All-Star title champion, was named to Bowling Magazine’s Pre-1950 All-America second team and was voted Bowling Writer’s Association of America’s Bowler of the Year in 1950.
