FROM THE WEST
Date: undated
Del Da-Re was one of Australia’s top bowlers. She stormed onto the bowling scene in 1963 and won the National All Stars Tournament three times that decade. As a representative of Western Australia, she wore a black swan emblem, the avian representative of the country’s largest state. She helped Australia secure their first-ever silver medal at the 1971 World Championships. Del Da-Re was inducted into the Tenpin Bowling Australia Hall of Fame in 1984.
