FIQ IN THE WHITE HOUSE
Date: September 17, 1971
President Richard Nixon was arguably the most active bowler to ever hold America’s highest office. In addition to hitting the lanes himself, he was also an advocate of the sport. In September of 1971, high-ranking members of bowling’s many organizations met the president in the White House to present him with a photograph of the 7th Internationale des Quilleurs World Tournament, held the previous month in Milwaukee.
