FAMILY NIGHT AT THE LANES
Date: 1950s
Bowling alleys were perfect for a family night out. Families could grab a snack and a drink and enjoy a night of friendly bowling, with maybe a touch of a competitive spirit! Alleys offered affordable fun for families in cities and in suburbs. In the mid-1950s, there were nearly 7,000 bowling centers in the United States; it’s no wonder so many families took to the alleys!
