ETHEL SABLATNIK IN MILWAUKEE
Date: 1942
Ethel Sablatnik was a mainstay at Women’s International Bowling Congress tournaments for half a century. From her first meet in 1930 — when she nicked her ankle on her first roll and sent the ball straight into the gutter — to the 1948 WIBC meet where she was the individual champion to the 1975 tournament where she joined a team for Wyoming because they needed an additional person, Sablatnik dedicated hundreds of hours to the WIBC.
