BOWLING TO THE BEAT OF ’69

The 28th BPAA All-Star Tournament took place at Hialeah Lanes, Florida, from May 2-9, 1969. Billy Hardwick emerged victorious among 216 competitors, securing the first-place trophy by finishing over 100 pins ahead of runner-up Dick Weber. Hardwick’s remarkable year included a then-record seven wins, earning him the title of 1969 Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Player of the Year. He was later presented a trophy for his victory.
