BOWLING IN SAN FRAN
Date: 1958
A field of 2,547 teams (approximately 13,000 bowlers) came to San Francisco for the Women’s International Bowling Congress in 1958, including teams from Alaska and Hawaii, demonstrating how far bowling had spread. From the tropics to the Arctic Circle, women’s bowling was a popular pastime.
