AMONG BRAU’S BEST BOWLERS

This Meister Brau Beer men’s bowling team in the 1970s featured, from left to right, Dave Juric, Ed Brosius, Sonny Jovanovich, captain Paul Krumske, Frank Purpura, Dave Wallers and Brian Hirner. Brosius and Krumske both earned recognition as United States Bowling Congress Hall of Famers. Krumske, inducted in 1968, was named Chicago’s Bowler of the Half Century in 1951 and won the National Match Game title in 1944. He was among the elite few to claim national match play titles in individual, doubles and team categories. Brosius, inducted in 1978, was a key member of four BPAA championship teams and earned an impressive 13 additional tournament titles.
