A PRIZED PINSPOTTER
Date: February 19, 1960
American Machine and Foundry was best known for the incredibly popular AMF Pinspotter. By 1960, the company had also introduced their “Magic Triangle” Pindicator, which lit up to help the bowler visualize the result of a roll. As one of the top bowling equipment manufacturers in the country, AMF’s name appeared across bowling alleys, accessories and tournament awards. California bowler Shirley Schmardel received this AMF Pinspotter watch for her impressive 280 score. A decade later, she was inducted into the San Diego Bowling Hall of Fame.
