A PIECE OF OLYMPIC HISTORY
Date: September 18, 1988
How many strikes did this pin see? The Brunswick Flyer was one of the 500 pins used in the first Olympic bowling competition at the 1988 Summer Games in Seoul, South Korea. The one-day event featured 24 participants, 12 male and 12 female, representing 24 nations. Kwon Jong Yul and Arianna Cerdena, from South Korea and the Philippines, respectively, took home the gold. Perhaps one of them took down this pin. Watch a video!
