BLIND BOWLING
Date: 1980s, 1990s
The American Blind Bowling Association (ABBA) was founded in the 1940s to both encourage participation in bowling among legally blind individuals and to govern blind bowling. ABBA’s publication, The Blind Bowler, was printed in braille and provided the latest news of the organization. The Bobby Looney Memorial National Team Championship award features a bowler using the hand rail guide integral to sport. These items are on display at the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame.
