MORNINGSIDE RECREATION
Date: 1940s
Morningside Recreation in the Inglewood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, was not just a bowling center. It also offered a soda fountain and coffee shop in addition to other recreational activities, such as billiards. In 1940, locals hosted a Red Cross fundraiser at Morningside Recreation, and area politicians bowled in a charity tournament.
