ST. LOUIS DOMINATES IN KANSAS CITY

The 1963 BPAA All-Star Tournament, hosted in Kansas City, Missouri, boasted an impressive lineup of 288 male and 144 female competitors. St. Louis, Missouri, showcased its bowling prowess at the event, with five of the top 16 male finishers hailing from the city. In an all-St. Louis showdown, Dick Weber emerged as the victor, outperforming his fellow St. Louis residents Billy Welu and Don Carter, who secured second and third places, respectively. On the women’s side, Marion Ladewig claimed the championship title. Marie Stivers, who managed to secure seventh place, was the sole competitor among the top 16 finishers in the men’s and women’s divisions to represent the host city, Kansas City.
