Already a star bowler in the United States, Helen Duval took her talents abroad in the 1980s with the goal of promoting the sport and organizing leagues. She made several trips to the Philippines to start junior leagues and help bowlers advance to the Federation Internationale des Quillieurs (FIQ) world youth championships.
